When was the last time you had fun in your business?

Not so long ago I couldn’t imagine having fun and business going hand in hand.
I thought business was all about hard work and seriousness.

It took me a while to understand that having fun and being happy is inseparable part of what I actually have to do in my business every day.

Until I had that understanding all of my days were filled with things I thought I must do, things I thought I should do, that if others doing it I have to too- day in and day out…
Until It Will Work! (and obviously  it didn’t…)

I’m not saying there aren’t necessary thing you need to do in business (taxes, reports etc) but, it defiantly shouldn’t take much of your time and you should defiantly out-source the first chance you have.

There is something magical in having fun.

If you don’t get to that place of joy and happiness everything else gets infected with your lack of desire and frustrations.

For example, this post – I waited all day to sit and write it already! I felt that this is going to make my day much better. I felt that today this is my fun. Writing, passing my thoughts and knowledge forward, maybe get you inspired, perhaps making you take action- All this is pure joy for my!

There are two kind of “having fun” – fun in business and fun in life.
Fun in business:
This is what will get you up in the morning with a big smile.
This is what will make you start your day in enthusiasm and anticipation for what you’re going to create or do.
You can’t survive long without that. You’ll get frustrated, tired and sad. It can wear you down and turn you into a business zombie that’s living life without real passion for it. Instead look at yourself like a business fairy, making wishes come true for your clients and having fun every flying step of the way.

Fun in life:
This is another kind of fuel, but still a necessary one. This is the fun that shows you there are much more in life then work.
Us motivated entrepreneurs, have a tendency to forget everything else and focus on work alone. But there is magic outside for you to explore!
Fantastic moments with your family, experiences outdoors, the ocean, good book, coffee with a friend, cheesecake… what ever making you feel happy in other ways.
For me, most of the time it will be reading, writhing in my colorful notebooks, learning something new, creating (Love arts & craft!) or just simply taking a breath of fresh air outside.

Why is this important?
Because this is your sanity!
Your soul needs you to take care of it. Your spirit needs to feel that you’re here for a reason, that you have a purpose on this planet. That you’re here to enjoy life and not suffer by it.

But sometime we forget.
Do you know what the best way to remember is? To Write!
Even if sometimes it feels obvious.
Because a friendly reminder is always better then forgetting. Forgetting can be painful. Even better – make it a colorful and fun to create reminder!
Use paints, pictures, stickers, crayon, markers, ribbons – you name it! (This is definitely good stuff for another post…).

It will be fun AND important.

In the meantime I would love to hear your thoughts on that. Comment below:
Where do you have fun in your business and life?
Even better – list all the cute-fun-cheerful things that makes you happy.
This is fun all by itself…

This is so true! When I’m having fun on a project my energy soars, my health improves and I’m in the effortless flow of life. This is such an important message because when we are having fun we have the ability to relish the elusive present moment, and there’s no place we’d rather be! Such an important message :)

Thanks, Emily, for commenting. Enojying the moment is such a basic thing that should be on our TODO list of life, and the one that always slips away… I can tell you a secret and share that this is a good reminder for me too :-)
